Installing Indigo Renderer

...Oh, and you want to put skindigo.rb in the plugins folder.
Within the SU application of course.
That will be the "bridge" between them. -
Thx guys, i downloaded the Indigo core and its working now!
Although when i render it exports the image to "C:/Program Files/Google/Google SketchUp 6/Plugins/renders".
The logical thing to do would be to go to program files, open google folder, google sketchup folder, plugins folder and then...renders folder...i dont have a renders folder! Is it not a folder, but i dont see anything that says "renders"
If you have had the same problem before please tell me how you fixed it:D
How come it all has to be complicated.... -
Just now i actually found a renders folder but its no in "program files...." actually its where the "indigo.exe" is, but even after i rendered my file, nothing there:S
thought this info would give more details.
thank you! -
Ok..i didnt notice that i had 32.bit operating system.
so i downloaded the 32.bit one rather than the 64.bit. So when i press redner the Indigo pops up and tells me
"Fatal Error.
Failed to open XML Doc from path C:Program files/.....Plugins/defaults.igs.
Failed to open file."
I did a scan of my files ..again.. and no defaults.igs. Is it ANOTHER download that i have to make, or do u just make the defaults.igs? I wont do anything until i get reply because i dont want to mess everything up.
Thank You! -
Downloading 32 bit was the right thing to do
As for the default.igs, it should come in the indigo folder (the same place as the indigo.exe file.)
-
The defaults.igs is not there.
Should i download indigo again and see if the file is there, because i really dont see it.
Maybe its somewhere else? -
Maybe you can try for yourself, download it and see if its there?
thank you -
Yeah, download it again. It should be there.
The other thing to do is delete all the 'installed' versions of indigo and skindigo. Its surprisingly easy to mess things up when your playing around trying to get the whole thing to work.
much easier to start afresh.
-
I will remove everything, but i downloaded it again, and the file is not there:S
can u tell what type of file it is (text...)
Thaankyou -
Also, is it important that i ONLY put the indigo.exe into the plugins folder, because i just took the whole "indigo_v1.0.9..."folder into the plugins folder. But the SkIndigo and the SUpreviews are both in the plugins folder as well.
-
You dont need to touch the indigo folder, you can just leave it where it is.
And the file (including its extension) should be called default.igs
-
Alright thankyou, i understand what your saying but i dont see it anywhere.
-
-
Thank You!big help!!
-
Now that i tested it, it tells me the same message as before except is says "plugins/defaul-settings.igs.
Failed to open file line 0, column 0."
This is strange, and sorry for all the questioning but this is reaaly strange:D
