Getting certified, and I don't mean the white coat.....LOL

I was wondering if anyone knows how to attain credentials with Sketchup? Is it even available. It's nice to show people or clients one actually has proper training in a program with which they use in their business. Even though a really detailed model/render sometimes should be proof enough, some people like to see some kind of certificate hanging on the wall. I have just started working with a company that creates and fabricates tradeshow displays and large format printing and now they have opened a shop to produce inhouse, their own custom millwork/exhibits and I have been hired to run this new division. They currently use Vectorworks/cinema 4d for their modelling and rendering. Everytime I try to show the ease AND strengths of Sketchup, I feel that the program isn't taken seriously. Any thoughts on this???

The only sort of certification i can think of is becoming a certified SU training centre. It would give you more credibility, but id imagine youd have to do some teaching as well.

I agree modelhead. The company I'm working for has invested quite a bit of money plus the lead designer has the background with Vectorworks. LOL...he does also have a Sketchup for Dummies on his desk so I know is is trying to slowly learn it. I think "The old dog and new trick" comes into play sometimes. Can't say as I blame that. I have a hard time switching to new versions of programs when I'm so use to the older version. Thanks for your input.....
