      hey again, quick question:
      I am making a sofa table, and I want the material to be shiny, laquered (sp?) finish in some parts. How can I achieve this?

        The realtime rendering engine of SU does not handle reflections. To do that would require realtime raytracing, and you would need almost a supercomputer to achieve that. You can either try postprocessing a SU-exported image in Photoshop or your favourite image-editing app, or then use a dedicated rendering application to add lights and material qualities SU is lacking. There are tons of threads and posts about rendering and rendering applications around these forums.
