      Hey Ladies and Gents
I have a favor that i need help with ASAP. Ive spent the last 3 days trying to get this to work but am not skilled enough in translucency to create this material in Kerkythea. There is a material called litracon which strings fiber optic cables through concrete to allow the transmittance of light through the wall. Making it apper the objects on the inside or casting shadows on the wall. So a person walking on one side of the wall is a black outline of himself on the opposite side. I have attached a texture of the concrete and an example of what i need it to do.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated need an example of it by tommorrow morning lolBlack.jpgStockholmwall01_HR[1].jpg

      THANKS in Advance
      Eric

        Eric,

You can import the texture image you currently have, and use it to texture both sides of a face. Go into the "Materials" browser and edit the texture's opacity with the slider at the bottom. (You may have to drag down the bottom edge of the browser window, to see the opacity slider.)

(I don't have Kerkythea, so I can't test rendering outcome.)

        Regards,
        Taff

I have figured out how to do it in sketchup like you have done but it does not transfer right into kerkythea, plus the model is a clay model so i cant bring any textures into kerkythea. Thanks for the help though

You can edit this material in Kerky, first go to advanced settings, direct light estimators>refraction enhanched>turn on pseudo transulcencies. Then edit the refraction of your material, hope this helps, you should check out the kerky material editor guide.
