Time to put this to rest...

The McCain campaign has got nothing left, they are losing and they will try anything.
Remember him saying he will run a clean campaign? who's the flip flopper now?
-
While I was in Thialand, during Vietnam, I served with several "felons" who were given a walk if they joined the military...guess I better never run for office, considering those offensive associations.
-
It's simple...like Pete said, the McCain campaign is loosing...they had this little tidbit in their pocket just waiting for the right time to use it. Desperate, smear tactics from a loosing campaign. It is really pathetic..this is designed to appeal to the same level of intelligence that constantly saying his middle name does. "Look you patriotic Americans, not only doesn't he put his hand over his heart during the pledge, and he wears African garb, but he is actually a terrorist..his middle name proves it...AND he associates with a washed up old '60s ex radical" I guess the second he is sworn in he is going to take out a turban, put it on and say "FOOLED YA"!

Time to put WHAT at rest? The association between Obama and Ayers?
-
-
Is nobody else surprised that one of the VP candidates' spouse is part of an organization which has advocated for having their state secede from the union. I guess I don't understand what people mean when they talk about patriotism.
As opposed to limited contact with a University professor who did some dumb things thirty years ago.

Bombing is a dumb thing...hmmm. I probably wouldn't use that adjective. Wow, it boggles the mind how Obama supporters are so damn eager to overlook this stuff. I guarantee that if McCain had any similar associations, all hell would break loose. Hypocrites all.
-
Ron:
I don't at all overlook Ayers' actions in the 60's and 70's!
Obama was in grade school at that time, but yes, did meet Ayers some 30 years later (read the posted article)!
I am not a hypocrite!!! (But I do hear the smacking of hypocrisy in the air :`)Tom.
-
i guess its the same way that people overlooked W's coke snorting, drunk driving and close ties with the saudis.
-
I sure wouldn't be too happy about getting support from this guy.

i think God should run the country. And the economy. but not YOUR God. MY God.

Ron, I just don't get it...I know you know the people here are too intelligent to buy into this kind of crap, ie. transfering any feelings they have about your nutcase onto Obama. By this post I was just debunking one of the lies (yes, lies...deceptive innuendo is a lie) I keep hearing on TV lately.
What are you trying to do: just piss people off?
-
What "lie" are you trying to debunk?
Edit: Obama and Ayers served together on a charity board for some 5 years or so and obviously knew each other well enough for Ayers to host a "tea" for him. So they had some sort of relationship. I'm not sure one could call this "palling" around, but this was just pol-speak. -

Strange thing is with the economy heading south the McCain campaign can only come up with this, no wonder they are trailing in the states they historically win. America is not listening to this negative rhetoric guys, even the rednecks are getting wise to it.
-
remember the hanging chads and the voter intimidation in florida 8 years ago? remember weapons of mass distruction? aluminum tubes? torture? the patriot act? indefinite imprisonment with representation? speaking out against the government being unpatriotic?
in the face of this, the Obama-Ayers connection is flimsy at best.
edit: remember...global warming needs more 'research?'

It gets worse for Palin!
Just in, Inquiry released, she abused powers.

Sucks to be McCain, but then again the negativity had to catch up some time.

I love the first sentence of the last paragraph of the Times article...thanks for sharing!
