Animation Codec Problems

I am having problems with initializing the codecs in SketchUp. More than half give me error codes that say "can't initialize compressor". Microsoft 1 and Cinepac work - Divx, Indeo and Intel give me errors.
I have searched and googled but have not seen any reference to this problem. I upgraded Divx and still have the same problem, so it's some other compatibilty issue.
Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried making an avi. file elsewhere SketchUp with those códecs ?
maybe you have to do something first, who knows ?

if I remember well, the width and heigth of your frames must be multiplies of 4: this means that the codec can compress a 800 x 600 PX video, but not a 807 x 603 one. Some codecs require a multiply of 8.
I'd use a DVX or Xvid codec: they allow you fast compression and good quality.[/matteo]
