this kind of coincidence is very commom in the creative world. you were certainly thinking along the same lines without being aware of each other.
a quick search shows that arad's chair has been around since at least 2005 ("Voido was presented at the 2005 Furniture Fair in a “mould testing” phase under which it suffered greatly").
