Well, your work is good, we all know that, not much to discuss about that, except if you have an idea or you want advice.
-
Thanks Marian

I did try to make a video tutorial using this complicate wheel but it took 4 hours and I didn’t have enough space to store the large file on my HDD...
It was recorded in HD.I also ran into quite time consuming problems so it turned out a mess.
I will still try to make a video tutorial next time I make a wheel or if I could figure out a good way to, a SketchUp tutorial.

Just a little update on the Cobra, no images this time (under wraps)
Work on base model
-Interior started and it is going well, a few complications but looking good
-Exterior still not finished, underbody just started-Estimated total poly's: 100,000-ish
-
Still amazed by the results you've managed to get. I'm beginning work on an Audi A3 today which is my first attempt at a car. I will post when I have something worth looking at.
Keep up the good work, I think when people don't speak it's because jaws have dropped at some of the things you've done here!

Thanks a lot Puck
I would like to see what happens with your A3, best of luck.

All your models are very cool
How bout trying to make a concept car completely from your imagination and make it "real" by rendering or something.I was looking at your cars earlier and i saw that range stormer car. Dude!! Freakin awsome. So much detail and everythin
-
Do I see a dashboard in that Taunus? Hmm...

Hmm, doesn’t sound like a bad idea but a lot of the concept cars I design on paper are very complicated.
I have a lot of modeling to do at the moment but I will surly get around to it one day.@blank said:

Yes, you do
I have done a bit of work on the interior a long with the exterior. Did anyone wonder why I showed the back this time instead of the front?? It’s because the already awesome looking front is being re-built. Don’t worry, it’s not changing much, just a few minor details will be changed. It’s mainly just a re-build to fix a few bits of poor mesh work and make it look realistic. -
OK, im getting a little board...
Here is another wheel

If you read the model description you’ll notice that I have said I will also make the actual Taunus 4 spokes wheels which are quite similar.
What do you think?

Another wheel

Please download and take a look at the changes from the old D-010 to 25 and 26 before you pass judgement. I have done a hugh amount of work on all three models. The D-010 has basically been re-modeled and, although the 25 and 26 are based on the 10, they are both unique and vastly improved. The 26 has taken me about 3 hours to model so, as you can tell, it’s not a simple task.
So what do you think?
-
4 spoke are nice. I like how you make them look like actual real life rims.
-
Thanks Ray.
Its 4 a.m and im still going.
At this rate SketchUp will be illegal soon... its addictive! -
That is an astonishing looking paint job and that wing just tops it off.
The render looks very crisp; you must be spending a lot of time and effort perfecting the textures and a have quite high performance computer to get results like that.
My renders always turn out really speckled with fireflies even after 10 hours with fryrender. I need a much better computer. I know my model is bottom of its line so I can’t expect that much.Once again, model is looking great, I can’t wait to see it finished.

Haha. Not quite... Here's the shocker:I use Vista with a 512MB card.
The Artega is done; just a few flaws left. I'll upload it this weekend.
Oh and I'm thinking of doing some render work for a few weeks. I'm going to start with the Maverick GT. Should I post them here or send it to you by email?
-
Gotta agree with you about the SU addiction. Happened to me before (still does). Once I'm onto something, I'll go on forever until it's done. That's why I don't want to start making cars until summer.
I thought I'd stimulate the "interwebz" by this picture of the Artega. I've been working on rendering again and the result just keeps getting better and better!

That’s not a lot but you might have a good processor. I have Vista on a 2GB ram module but because I only have a 1.86GHz processor it can’t live up to what the RAM can handle.
My sister has a 256mb laptop but it has a 2.4GHz processor...It’s ridiculous. It’s about 6 years old and its processor is as good as it gets. It can run fryrender fine because it doesn’t take a lot of ram and because it has a really good processor it can get results fast. It can do in about 2 hours what my computer would take 10. Why computers dont come with better processors is beyond me.

Feel free to post them here but no one would be able to download them because of the file protection. If you want you can send me a copy so I can add them to my website.
Best of luck
