      Greetings,

Is there an easy way to divide an object into equal parts? For example, I want to divide a 2x4x8 piece of lumber length wise. The method I have been using is 1)draw a line along the length of object, 2)right click on the line, 3)select "divide", and 4)drag the guide lines to the wanted division. Is there an easier way of doing this? I basically just want to place guide marks at equal distances on an object without having to draw the line first.

      Thanks

You could use construction lines, although this may look messy.

Perhaps try using the existing end line of your lumber and copying it to the required distance/division. This way you can create as many dividing lines as you wish in one quick operation without having to draw lines at all.
