Thanks Mr. Mayor, although someone has beat you to it by a few hours...

I actually like Chrome! It is faster than any other internet browser I've used... and ESPN doesn't lock up on me like it used to with Safari... so I think I'm going to stick with it for a while!

I am also sold on Chrome, it's very fast, uncluttered, with all the features I need.

                    Thats some interesting reading.

For anyone who hasnt read it (or cant be bothered) it basically points out that google claims a license on anything you create in chrome (this post, any pics you post etc.) They seem to skip over the bit that says "This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services" though, which seems like a bit of an oversight to me.

EDIT: didnt read the entire article before i posted 😳 It does mention that excerpt towards the end.

Thanks for sharing. Makes me wonder whether they couldn't put it any better. Why should we sell our souls and all our creativity to any (virtual) company? What comes next?

Does it has a 'No-Script' function that blocks scripts by default and gives a user the choice to switch them on one by one?

If not, I stick to firefox as I can't live without it....

I doubt Google would release a browser without allowing javascripts since it is so dependant on it with a lot of its services.

                              Gai...

I won't be using it myself...at least not until they have completely cleared up the privacy issues (which they now seem to have made a start on) and added certain basics like a Bookmarks manager and RSS feed capability. I'm sure these will come; this is just an early Beta.
I'm still a little concerned about Google's attitude to private data. For instance, caching your entire browsing history going back years. I'm not talking about the Windows cache, or the Firefox/IE cache wich can easily be wiped; I'm talking about this....every search you've ever made; every page you've ever visited.

I think Chrome is more than just another browser. This is Google's first stab at an online OS. I'm sure over the next few years we are going to see all manner of applications, from an online Office suite (Google Docs) to maybe even SU itself running in Chrome. This is aimed right between Microsoft's eyes.
