I don't know what I can say more
Maybe for any reason the plug is not installed in the good place?
-
Didier, I am getting the same result as johnsenior1973.
I have placed the ruby in the Plugins folder but does not show up in the Tools menu.
-
It is not showing up for me either.
-
look under plugins..... [to the left of HELP!!!!]
sorry, had a little moment there...
-
Is that where it shows up for you because it is not there for me?
Furthermore the pdf file Didier attached said it would be located under Tools, not Plugins.Edit:
Here is part of the pdf just in case you did not read it.
And yes... I restarted SU. -
You'r right Boo, Tools is where it is.....
now have a little moment at my expense!!!
-
It was listed just fine for me on Vista 64bit in the tools menu. Great plugin!
Here's a helix, triple helix, double helix, something that isn't a helix, but sort of close, then another 10x helix or something. I'm sure most of those names are wrong, so just look at the picture

for the problems, maybe you must disable the old "line2cyl.rb"?
maybe... -
Thanks didier!
It works great!I've already used...
One single possible request... would be possible to modify so we could extrude along square shapes as well?
So in Solo's image above for example, i could quickly build beans, columns.. etc etc.. all square? Thanks again!
PS: i've just donwloaded your all in one file... i'm feeling it'll take me ages to check them all...

maybe...for me it works with old tool....
Thanks Didier for a very usefull plugin... I was wondering if there is way to clean up intersection...
-
...thanks,Didier!...I expected it for a long time!
-
Very nice Didier, thanks
Additionally may be you could:
1/ add a rotation parameter (when precision is 4 one would get square section (rotation 45))
2/now I weld lines to get continuous result. Any chance to get it automatically?
3/conjunctions? -

maybe......yes! "line2cyl.rb" should be deleted
...Didier, please restore this function in "projection_extension.rb" -
Deleting the lines2cyl ruby did sort out the problem.
-
Hi all,
Sorry for the inconvenience of the "not showing plugin" problem. My fault. You must delete old "line2cyl.rb" of your plugins folder OR I must correct the name of the plugin in the code (I forgot to change it). If line2cyl is loaded first, SU doesn't create another menu item in the tools menu for the new version.@unknownuser said:

Use a precision of 4 and you'll get square section prisms.(RTFM)

Does this make sense ? This function has nothing to do with projection IMHO...

The script can't do it (I mean, quite difficult to code). A workaround is to draw as much curves as you can, and select "Yes" in the "follow-me on curves" option. But it cannot clean intersections on T or Y or X branching edges.
Maybe next version will do it ? -
THANKS A LOT, Didier..!!
-
Thanks Didier.
Could this be adapted to use a semi-circle with thickness? I am thinking of use for ridge tiles on a roof.
