Textures won't render
-
I tried several of the SU textures. I can only render the colors, the rest seem to render black.
Any other ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Podium from fresh?
-
I seem to recall having had a similar issue when exporting a model using the free Google SU with only the standard material package installed... (the package, which is installed together with GSU)
I suggest you download the Materials Bonus Pack and try seeing how this will work...
-
Juju, may have to try that.
Frederick, I'm using the Pro version and I did install the bonus pack.
Thanks guys.

Ben can you tell me do you have mac or windows version?
-
Could it be that your textures are placed in a folder or sub-folder (meaning the entire string) containing a non-standard letter..??
(something outside the English alphabet...)
I'm guessing here, since I can't grasp why you can't make this work... -
Ben...could you call back to Podium forum....It will be solved much quicker over there.
-
Sepo, I'm running the windows version.
Frederick, the textures is coming from the materials folder under the SU program folder. No unusual characters in the folder name.
Thanks again guys. Ben

I would have prefered to deal with it on Podium forum but ok....tell me what you have in your Podium folder in plugins.
-
OK... Then I'm out of ideas...
I'm sure Sepo will be able to help you out here...
Perhaps you should take his advice and continue this on the Podium forum... -
solved...issue of permission to write the textures.
-
Thanks again everyone. Like Sepo indicated, problem solved.

For the uninformed (i.e. those of you that don't check previous posts), this was using the Podium rendering software available for SU. A recent decision by management to throw all the toys into one basket and let you sift through it yourself resulted in the forum as it is now, somewhat overwhelming and disorganised.
