Podium materials
-
Hello guys,
Ive recently downloaded a demo for podium to try my foot in it whether its more user friendly (for me) or its just the same rendering system out there.
My question is, is it easier/ nicer to render in podium using some materials for vray? Ive been trying it but it turns out to be a dead render. We all know if any rendering turns out not to be that good.
Sometimes it also left me wondering if it is just plain and simple that i just dont have the knacks for a photo-realistic rendering, just plain sketchup.
Thanks in advance for any help ill get.

Podium materials are pretty much just the SU materials that youd apply anyway, so i dont think you want to apply vray materials to your model.
Things get a bit more complicated when you start using bump maps and clip maps, but theres a good guide to it on the podium website: http://www.suplugins.com/index.php?p=page&page_id=materials

You can't use mat definitions from other renders.
