Animation choppy on CD

I have exported an .avi file of my model in sketchup. When I play the movie file on my computer everything is good. If I burn the movie file to a cd however, the movie plays back choppy & slow. Is that a file problem or a cd reading problem? Anybody know?

What are you using to create the CD? what format are you writting as and what are you using for play back?

I'm exporting it as an avi in sketchup using the Cinepak codec. Then burning it to a cd as just a file. No autoplay, nothing, just a file. Then reading that movie file on a nice fast cd/dvd burner on my computer. A better way?

Sounds like a cache-ing problem to me.
