First Flash slide show animation!
-
I've produced my first Flash slide show animation. Not a great lover of the flash workflow as opposed to a timeline video editor like sony vegas as it feels really clunky.
This file is a self supported type so it can play in fullscreen mode - not sure what the proper term for it is?
The thing that amazed me is the low file size (this one 3.4mb as SWF or 5.77 in the posted format) v's an avi file that would weigh in at over 70Mb i'd imagine!
Would love some feedback from anyone with flash content creation experience as I feel what I've done could still use some improvement.
Best saved to HD before viewing I think - or might even be necessary! warning 5.8Mb file!

That is nice work Richard, Congratulations.
Can you put that on a website? -

Can you put that on a website? Thanks mate! The SWF file can be embedded on the website or this file hosted and downloaded. I thought about making it interactive but I find myself if its going to run through there is little reason I think! Plus I haven't actually worked that out yet! Flash is just not intuitive to me AT ALL!

That's excellent Richard. Nice animation and great images, very realistic.

really nice slideshow. and the renders are fantastic.
however, I am not sure, if these moving circles are ideal - they don't seem to follow a certain purpose. would love to see them somehow involved in the blending between the images (no idea, how that could work though)

Very professional and well done. You officially make me sick, I hope you're happy!
Regarding the circles, I like it just the way it is. Plot, if you rewatch it you'll see that the tie in is with the circle around the trademark checkmark (lot of marks there). That connection is made in the beginning and I think it's made again in the end if I recall.

What software did you use to create the animation by the way?

Thanks Guys!!!
As Brodie points out (and sorry mate - obviously not on your list of favourites now! dam! hehe) the circles do tie in with the intro checkmark! That was the logo I came up with for the client.
I was uncertain if the circles would be distracting and might well look at minimising them. As you suggest Plot it would be nice if I could tie them better into the transitions but yes not sure how! It would be nice if I could sweep the images in with them but man flash is hard enough to do anything with I'm finding without being "Eddy the Expert"!
Brodie the animation was put together with Flash CS3 which as I mention is really clunky for my liking!
I did my own portfolio in PowerPoint and it came up OK though can run clunky on older machines.
I'd like to know if there are any easier to use flash compliers that work better on a timeline!
Cheers, Richard

I don't know anything about flash (my own feeble attempts lay years back in the past).
I hope you didn't get me wrong. I liked the fact thet something was moving in the images (gives the whole thing dynamic). but it would have been even better if these circles surved a purpose, because at the moment they are solely decoration (nice decoration of course )
perhaps these circles may give a slightly transparent glimpse of the next image, as if they are cutting through the present one and give you the oportunity to look through on the picture below. may be too distracting though

Thank plot! Yes I think I'll just play with the transparency of the circles. I do like that they tie in with the intro and the watermark of the hard copy catalogue prepared for them!

Very impressive, you've got me ideas for an easiest way to broadcast some animations.
Thanks for sharing.
