Could anyone please direct me to sites or resources more specifically geared to learning how to use Sketchup for the purposes of furniture design?

      Many thanks,
      Joe Harvey

Your probably best off just learning how to use SU more generally, as none of the\tools are aimed at any particular users, just general model manipulation.

If you check out the tutorials forum here there is a sticky with loads of really good websites with tutorials, thats probably the best place to start.

Joe, I don't think you will find a better forum around for learning SketchUp.

We also have a Woodworking Forum in our Special Interests section which will probably be very suitable for you.

You will need to subscribe to see it. Just go to your User Control Panel (UCP link, top left of screen) choose the Usergroups tab and select the forums which interest you. These will then show in the Special Interests section.
