hi I was wondering if there was anyway of inserting google sketchup into a website e.g a sketchup web dialogue. for example when you go to http://www.mysite.com there is a button on there saying build yoiu click that and in the middle of my sketchup is google sketchup (no installing needed).
I have already tryed installing the google sketchup files into my ftp so that when you type in http://www.mysite.com/google/sketchup.exe it will run and this worked kind of but I dont want the people to have to run the file because people dont like running a file of a website they cant rearlly trust.
so if you know anyway of inserting sketchup into a website so that it loads up all of ur components and everything pleasae reply here or email me at simon@gardengames.co.uk

Hi Simon,
I have to tell you I don't really understand what you want. I clicked on your first link and it's just the home page of a webhosting company. Your second link did not lead me anywhere but to a 404 error (page not found) although if the file is there, you are right, I would not download it for sure.
Do you want to display some interactive 3D content on a website (it won't work with SU models I can tell you in advance).
Ah, BTW - since this subforum is for tutorials people create and share here, I'll move your post to the SketchUp Discussions forum
And as a second "BTW": welcome to the board!

Hi Simon,
I'm not sure what you want either. If you want to display an SU model, you can put models into a Google Earth window inside your web page. Once there you can use the GE Navigation Controls to move around the model in 3D. Have a look at the topic below: Google Earth Plugin at http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11115&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a.
If that's what you're looking for, you can see a sample of this at: http://www.twharvey.talktalk.net/index.htm
Good luck,
Tom
