Got my hands on Hypershot
-
Just got my hands on Hypershot rendering software. So far very impressed with the speed. It seems to lack some of the setup flexibility i have in v-ray but great one click render software. Wanted to run it truth some test and see how it performs, sadly right now i am away from my main computer where all my models stored. Did some test renders on models from 3d warehouse. Decided to ask if anyone has an interesting outdoors scene they would like donate for the test I could post rendering here, as soon as its done. Or at least point me to a good model on 3d warehouse (if you happen to know one) Definitely not going to keep result for myself. So please do not think i am hunting for a portfolio projects. Just something fun to run truth software.
Thank you -
....And now the cheese question: Are you prepared to pay 3.500 dollar for the Pro version?
Cause that is what it costs. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.By the way, check this thread about Hypershot as well:

I did followed that thread for some time. I do agree with you 100% that price is defiantly overwhelming. I still feel like vray for sketch up can run circles around this application. Even artlantis seems like a much more reasonable application spatially if you takin into account the price.
I honestly not sure what developers hope for asking such a price for application that does not even have full animation support... at least i did not find it yet. Still practicing.
Lucky in my case it came to me as a reward. I would not choose it if it had to come out of my budget. So for now i am just playing.
Some interesting results... when i render something at a low resolution things seem to be lightning fast... but as soon as resolution goes up (lets say 4000x2000) things stop to a crawl. I know i should expect to wait longer hehe but surprisingly i can do same resolution on vray in less time.
It is probably just my lack of experience in this soft. Time will show -
