      Hi,

I want to do an animation with a grassy ground and cloudy sky. I want the background to rotate with the model during the animation.

How do I make a very large cyclinder with a 360 degree panorama attached inside, as I think this could work?

I've tried using a watermark image, but these are static when you rotate.

Also is there a way of using a stretched image just for the ground style, rather than a plain colour.

Basically I want a grassy floor with a distant panorama of trees and sky that rotates with my models during an animation.

      Thanks!

      Nick

        This might help. http://sketchupdate.blogspot.com/2007/07/wrapping-image-around-cylinder.html
There is also a new(ish) UV Tools ruby script in the Ruby forum that, if you set it to cylindrical, will wrap an image around a cylinder precisely once.
There are posts here and on the Google Groups site that deal with such things...cycloramas. There are also a few posts dealing with complete skydomes, which will also work; if you need to look up a little more.
