Mac question on dual monitors
-
i work with a dual monitor setup: a 20" screen + my macbook pro 15" screen. the 20"is where the menu bar is so it is there where all the major things happen.
the other day i had to take my laptop to school so i reverted to mirror display mode. after getting back to the former mode (non mirror) a very annoying thing is happening: all my skp files and the open file and import dialog boxes open on the secondary monitor, where i keep all my menus. then i have to move them manually over to the main screen.
it did not happen before. i have been to the display preferences and checked everything but could not find any resason for this behavior.
does anyone know how to fix it?

Edson, I'm not sure, but I think each file remembers it's position and the menu positions if you save. I haven't figured out all the details, but I have experienced it on windows based machines.

justin,
you are quite right. the problem only happens when i change from dual to mirror mode before taking my lappy on the road. i may have fixed it by opening the displays preferences and juggling things around. it is working normally now.
