Break lines etc

I have some details amd I want to add some break lines as a way to crop the detail, just as in standard 2d drafting - is there a way to do this.
Also I want to move the line ends on my dimemension lines so they dont run into the model.
Any one run inti these problems before - basicaly I making some construction details but in 3d.

Yes but wow its a lot of work to make each dimension line into a block!
I suppose for the break lines I was dreaming of a tool that will actually cut the model where ever u add the breakline.Do you use SU for details etc?
