Sorry but the demo licence expired before the export finished. You know the demo licence only works for 30 minutes at a time then SU locks up.
That's funny:
"come on now...need to be fast here...can't think...how much time left?..let's export..and...zzzoing....time's up"Yeh, laugh as much as you like KB, it was exporting the entire time until the demo time limit kicked in, and its not like I'm using a lightweight machine. Gathering from Adam's feedback, it looks like AVI export with LU scenes don't work currently. Probably why SU locked up on me then.
BTW, in his guide Adam warns about LU being capable of corrupting a model. The LightUp studio file I used with the above attempt to export had something happen to it, the model just completely disappeared after that little test run, so make sure you have a backup of the file as suggested by Adam.

Sorry to hear it messes up your model.
As to .avi export: since LU is a baking app, doesn't it replace the textures with the new 'enlighted' ones? In that way, A .avi export should take the same time to export.
But I guess it doesn't work that way... -

I have to say I personally have never had a corrupt model from using LightUp. The only issue I've had - which sounds like what you've seen - is the model looking like its disappeared but its just the Layer is disabled.
I'm certain your model disappearing is nothing more than the Layer being hidden.

And right you are again sir! Layer hidden by some phantom gremlin. This helps to set ones mind at ease, but that little disclaimer still gives me the chills.

Is the light included when one export as AVI ?
Exporting movies from LightUp sounds like a useful feature for a future version though.
Its all very well you guys coming up with great ideas to improve LightUp, but I'm the one that has to write the code!
Anyhow, its done. For the retail version of LightUp you can now press Shift+return in Tourtool mode and it will save frame sequences in realtime which you can crunch down into a movie with Cinepac/mencoder or whatever.
Also fixed a bug in the current demo of LightUp (v1.1c) that prevented looping Animation working while in Tourtool, so that will be in the next release (v1.2a)
