News from 3d Basecamp?

It sounds like everyone who went to the Basecamp had a great time judging by the reports so far. Apologies if I've missed any posts on this, but in terms of actual news, was there anything to report on forthcoming new features, possible version 7 timeframe etc?

Well, it was clear that they are very actively working on v7. It seems they have more developers than ever before working on it. Through conversations with various developers it was pieced together that they are planning to include at least one new major feature aimed at offering greater modelling productivity. They apparently have also spent lots of time improving numerous existing features.
I know that isn't much and perhaps it is exactly what might have been expected. That said it did seem that the mood of the developers was very positive. They seemed quite proud of what their team is doing.
I heard nothing about the timeline for version 7.

Thanks for the reply Ross. The positive intentions sound good, we'll just have to be patient as ever. They usually surprise us with a few great features when new versions do come out. I really hope as many people do, that handling of large models is addressed.
