I received the following by e-mail from a friend and thought I should share it here...
(I'm sure a guy like Coen will like this... Conspirations and so on... )

Have a history teacher explain this - - - - - if they can...
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday .
Both Presidents were shot in the head

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln , was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln , was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

holy shit! if all these facts are correct, the author that writes the story of our world (the architect of our matrix) wasnt very imaginative...

Apart from the very last "fact" I remember being fascinated with this series of coincidences when I was a kid. I'm sure yone could drum up all sorts of coincidences between almost any two people, especially when you start using dates and numbers (as we all know a good statistician can make any number mean whatever they want it to), but all the personal details, the motehods of assasination, etc and especially that each president's secretary had the other's surname is kind of eery.

Can you imagine the field-day modern conspiracy theorists would have with these gems?

Well, it's fun, but you are not going to understand a word. In fact "El Gran Wyoming", a spanish comedy tv presenter, is laughing at Iker Jimenez (another television presenter of occultist themes) , when he told the same dates that you have said. In fact EGW has a lot of coincidences of the spanish presidents of that kind too... and you began to laugh

Here's another historical coincidence, although not as extensive as Frederick's example.

The Romanov Dynasty in Russia begins and ends with the names Michael and Ipatiev. In 1603 Tsar Michael was elected tsar. In 1917 Tsar Nicholass II abdicated in favor of his brother Michael, who refused the throne and ended Romanov rule. When Tsar Michael I was elected, he was in hiding at the Ipatiev Monastary. In 1917, Tsar Nicholas II and his family were imprisoned and then executed in a house owned a man named Ipatiev.

I have read these cooincidences before. The Marilyn Monroe thing sounds cool and eerie, but it's wrong. Marilyn Died in Aug. of 62. almost a year and half before Kennedy.

You're right, David...
Marilyn died August 5th, 1962 and JFK was killed by an assassin on November 22nd, 1963...

But without having looked into any of the other coincidences (I'm sure other parts need a check) the list is funny enough...
