Multi copy problem....

Hi I´m new to this forum and have I question !
I couldnt find any related posts
but I have a problem with multi copy of recessed components.
When I drag and paste I dont get them " ON SURFACE" they are all going off !
can anybody help me ! Can I tell the program to multi copy with same depth on wall.
When I drag frm component library it always snaps into same place (depth)

I want all frames on ONE plane and found out that
if you pull and the colored line comes up and you
press shift it lets you lock to that direction !
