The "El Camino" AKA Pontiac G8 ST is officially dead. Maybe the word cancelled would suit it better since it wasn't even made to be killed in the fir... aaaanyway, it got cancelled.

I think, if the American auto market recovers (GM crashes), Ford should think of replacing some of its s__t models with the European and Australian Fords.

The Falcon would be a great car for the yanks to replace their big, pointless pick-ups and sedans and would move the Holden-Ford war to the US to kick what’s left of GMs (Pontiac G8) arse in the sports sedan and Ute market.

The Focus would replace the, honestly s__t, American Focus and the Mondeo, the Fusion.

If only I had some real say in these things the auto market would be better off... Hmm'

Oh, BTW. Here is the “short list” of what "pies" GM has its hands in

        -GMC
        -Chevrolet
        -Pontiac
        -Holden
        -Daewoo
        -Saturn
        -Honda
-"Great Wall" of China Motor Company (has about 10 subsidy’s that produce the same GM cars. I cant find all their names as most are all Chinese)
        -Vauxhall
        -Opel
        -Buick
        -Cadillac
        -Breckland
        -SAAB
        -Hummer
        -Wuling
        -Isuzu
        -Suzuki
        -SsangYong
        -Fiat
Counting those other 10ish there is at least 5 others (such as Wuling) I know they make and own that are sold in Asia.

If anyone can add to my quick list, as I can’t be bothered, please feel free.

i acctually like the fusion over the mondeo. Yes the american focus is (one of the) ugliest cars ever. i heard somewhere they're discontinueing it and replacing it with the euro one.

I've seen some Great Wall products. I thought they were Toyota and Nissan-based. For example the old Great-Wall pickup, which is basically a prev-gen. Hilux and the Sailor (truly WTF), which is a Nissan "Pickup".

Sorry Ray for sort-of hijacking this part of the topic but ...

The Great Wall car manufacturer in China is like the GM of China. It produces all sorts of look-alikes and old cars with new faces and gives them all sorts of badges.

Like what GM is doing with the Volt concept. Yes, they are even re-badging their concepts now and we can tell where that’s heading. The Volt is just a Honda Accord design with some fancy grilles; they built the concept under Chevrolet, Holden and Opel. Hey...One for each region. So I guess they will have, yet another, midsized sedan to re-badge under the 3 or more and it will continue to not make them any money.

Gm is trying to make itself look big by doing this and all its doing is making it look stupid and loosing it lots of money.

That’s my rant finished for now...

                Ray & others,

I hope this isn't thread jack and I know there are a zillion great links out there but this one caught my eye - dig down on this link and you can find some really cool cars - one of them really reminded me of one of Ray's recent cars - very cool stuff.

This one - a slight resemblance to two of your later models - got me thinking:

Wow Ray, that’s an amazing design. The front reminds me of an Ascari KZ1. The motion blur render looks really good but I am not sure those wheels are right for such a modern design. They look as if they belong on an old Coupe or Roadster.

BTW, my Trojan Cobra is done: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=12931&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=240

Okay, first to make the "lines" you have to use either the Tools on Surface plug in, or you can intersect a shape that is in a group that is extruded. To open them you basicly use the rotate tool to make the doors open at a certain angle.
