The clue is in the title. Only really crazy stuff btw, stuff that, if you saw someone trying/doing today, youd shke your head in a disapproving way.

Mine would have to be a late night ascent of a crane. Id been eyeing it up for weeks (it was just outside our school) and then one night i just went fo it. Got some good pics from the top, but overall it was fine, just a big ldder all the way to the top.

Spill the beans then, im sure youve all got some good stories to tell 👍

Me and my trusted Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp got up on a telephone booth. "We" then kickflipped off of it. I wound up with a concussion, and my board was split in half. (Didn't care much about the concussion - losing that deck was much, much worse. 😒 )

EDIT: moral of the story: hubris tastes like sidewalk.

Good one Alan, we used to ride our metal saucer sleds down the shag carpeted stairs, great fun until you hit the turn. There's still a small dent in the panelling.

Riding a trike down the stairs when I was 3. I was doing ok until I hit the quarter landing, then it all went pear-shaped.

As a kid I considered myself a great skate boarder (around 1979), anyway I used to try all sorts of tricks one was to go down a certain steep hill near our house doing hand stands, backwards etc, until one day I had a bright idea of going down the hill wearing roller skates while on a skateboard!

Ha ha!! Too much to list, but here's a few:

                    • jumped from my friends car into the back of another friends truck bed at ~70mph (she veered away while I was in mid-air because "she didn't want to see me do something crazy"...and I just barely made it. (moral of that story is only do stunts with your trusted friends that know how to keep the car steady!)

                    • jumped from a wall to a 15 inch wide landing about 8 feet away... it was on top of a 17 story building...

                    • climbed out of my friends car to get beer from the trunk for the girls in the back...made it back with two beers and we never went below 40mph... the girls were impressed! 😄

                    • jumped my motorcycle onto the trunk of a cop car with the cop in it, then launched off the car onto the street and the chase was ON! ...I got away because I had mad skills...and the flat foot was just mad! 😉

...think; Jackie Chan meets Evel Knievel 😄

Yup, single story house. Water isn't as soft as one would think when doing these kind of things.

At around 10 years old I used to order fireworks using a fake name and age (I used fred flintstone age 45 LOL), once received I used to take them apart and pour the contents into jars, cans, or whatever I could find. Then we would throw matches into it and watch the magic happen. One day my friend jack and I were in the driveway making our own forth of july when we poured 4 roman candles into a soup can. After many attempts to get a match to fly in lit, I told jack "just stand over it and make sure one goes in". Well, he got one in and the a tower of flames shot up and gave him a reverse mohawk! He just stood there with a smoking head and was missing more hair than he had left. He ran home (still smoldering) and came to school the next day with a nice tight crew cut. Moral of the story...if it is dangerous...let your friends try it first!

                                  🤣
                                  Ooohhh... It reminds me... 😆
Back when I was 10 years old, me and a friend found some petrol/gasoline in a can and we figured that we could make a flame-thrower if we poured it into a watering can made of metal...
We had a strong believe that the gasoline would make a huge flame out where the water would normally pour from...
But when we ignigted the gas, there wasn't enough air in the watering can, so while I was holding it, I asked my friend to blow some air into it - and guess what happened... 😆

The next day he came to school with a crew-cut and without any eyebrows or eyelashes... 😆

                                  Cheers

I lmost feel like i missed out on my childhood now, what with all these botched flame throwers and crazy fireworks experiments.

In a similar vein to my first story: i climbed a local church during the night, right to the top, and left a note wih a friends name and address. i can tell you it was pretty scary climbing a church at night. it's pretty hard work and the fact you cant see what your doing/where the ground is is scary.
