Making Cartoon characters

Okay . .. Solo is just too good.
We're going to have to kill him.
-
Again, Too good to be true. Pretty amazing stuff.
I bet you are good at drawing and painting as well, aren't you?
I am starting to notice that to really model well, you have to have the same eye a sculptor or other graphical artist has.You definitely have it my man!
If only you would not have forgotten to push 'rec' and some hours later 'stop'in Camtasia.....
That would have been really useful. -

I'm telling you bro, you should be teaching and spreading your 3d wisdom. I'm sure you would get a full class. Do you teach SU to children? I think you could build a pretty good following. Imagine the world populated with Solo's.

Thanks again guys.
I have recieved a few emails and PM's regarding how I create my base shapes which in essence is the main mesh which once created can be tweaked to create a character. So here is a quick idea of how I create my base forms.
I firstly make a rough form using rectangular polygons and pull and shape to a rough shape of what I am trying to achieve. I then use the magic plugin called Subdivide and smooth which turns my angular form to an organic one.See clip below of the beginning of Patrick star of Spongebob fame.
Now that you have a base model you can use the sizing tool, JPP, FFD, sandbox tool, etc to smooth, warp and manipulate the mesh to create the details.

Yep!!!!
