Are you ready for SketchUp 7 news?
-
hahahaha, the forums hardly died. Seems to be a technical hitch to me.

technical hitch
it could be done
if there were love ,:) -
quoted from Coen :
Scott, I hope to release today. I am REALLY sorry for this mess. The long and short of it is that I ran into some trouble with the site and the fact that I slept not again for a second consecutive night doesn't help much either.
Please give me some more time.time is time.
but today is today
and tomorrow tomorrow
each day is each day
and they dont last 356 hours

Sorry, but i just came across this - any news re 7?

Juan
I understand your impatience and frustration, I have the same.
But are you sure we are here in SCF like in a hard-competitive-business-like company, where managers are widely waged, where big benefits justify our exigences ...
Let not overload Coen with non adequate responsabilities -
Coen wouldn't have been overloaded at all if he hadn't announced he was going to make an announcement. Juan wouldn't have been bugging him if Coen had updated everyone in a decent manner rather than leaving everyone to wonder what was going on.
-
Hm, yes. Only one little remark: Coen didn't leave us wondering. He told us what happened, and that we'd have to wait. Sh*t happens, right?
-
But if he hadnt said anything in the first place then we wouldnt have this whole thing, but hey, who cares. whats a few days?

It's this Saturday which still has some 5 hours, 26 minutes and 20 seconds to go for me.
That was his response after several people, including you, were posting to ask what was going on.

I sorted out the technical glitch. Should be up in a few hours. Promise, this time.
Now stop asking!Nearly nine hours ago. Since then, nothing.
Compare the way Coen has gone about with his announcement and the way the new Offset tools were introduced. Fredo didn't make an announcement that everyone would be getting a surprise soon, he simply came out with a fantastic tool.
I only hope that this announcement has been worth waiting for, but the way Coen has gone about it has really sucked.

OK gang, this is what 'I' think happened
Coen has been given info on V7, it could be no more than a release date or it could be a great big presentation of new features, I don't know.
Coen was told he could release this info on Saturday.
but....
Somebody as then contacted Coen and told him NOT to release the said info until (pick a date and time). Because of the obvious NDA (None disclosure agreement) that Coen (and others here) has signed he is unable to even tell us this.
If there is info on V7 and if its Coen that has failed to tell us on Saturday then don't you think that the Sketchup site (http://www.sketchup.com) would have putup info at the same time? but they haven't have they?, what does that tell you?, do you think that Google are waiting for Coen? I dont't think so.
So basically.....Lets lay off giving Coen a hard time, it must be killing him to have this info and for whatever reason not be able to give it to us.
This is, as I said, what 'I' think is happening. I may be completely wrong and before you ask - no, I don't have any inside info myself.
-
well, I think every hour of waiting added 5% of anticipation.
I am at 185% now - that I something even my last girlfriend didn't achieve when she was on vacation for three weeks (and she was quite a feast for the eyes)!
when Coen finally releases the news, a whole bunch of lunatics will have tears of joy in their eyes - all arround the world!
that is really something worth waiting for, isn't it?to Paul: perhaps we should start writing furious letters to Google, telling them to stop bothering Coen (but we won't do that until we know your theory is right...)
