Someone lease point me BACK in the right direction how do you put a bitmap as the backdrop in SC? thanx in anticipation

You mean as a background image? If so, you can insert a "watermark" background in the styles dialogue > in model > edit > watermark settings. Here you can even "mix" your styles to your needs.
