No Materials except Color on Mac
-
I've been using SketchUp for a long time, but on a PC. Now we've switched to Macs and I have a problem: When I open the Materials window all I get is Colors. Where are all the other materials (concrete, vegetation, etc.)?

Hi Bob,
I'm "still" on PC so I don't know what the Mac download comes with but maybe you just forgot already that there are the components and materials bonus packs. Check out the download page of SU for them.

Hi Bob, hi folks.
Normally, when you select the Paint Bucket Tool, you shall see the color window. Near the top, you shall have a line of icons showing, from left to right, a left arrow (previous), a right arrow (next), a small house (home icon) and a pull down list showing probably "Colors" with two small up and down arrows at its right. Click the arrows to access the list of colors and textures.
On the title bar of this window, you will see a small oval at the right. This allows you to access more controls.
Just ideas.

Jean,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Alas, I don't get what you describe. What I get is a large color wheel with six icons across the top: The trick is that the fourth icon (looks like a brick) reads "Apple" in the little window. It's when you click the little up/down arrows that the whole list of available materials appear! At that point, when you select one of the items in the list, it is as you describe with the left/right arrows, the house and a pull-down list.Thank you for your help in getting me to investigate more closely.
