A photo editor like Paint.net or PhotoFiltre INSIDE Sketchup.
You make a selection of a face in Sketchup. Click on PHOTOEDIT and that face is opened up in the photo editor. When done you click on a tick to apply it to the model.

This would be pretty sweet, although i think it would definetly have to be combined with better UV mapping with in SU, as you really couldnt take advantage of something like this without good UV mapping.

Yes, it would be sweet but I doubt that development would ever take this turn.
