The easiest way to do this is with the scale tool.

If you insert the door/window component into the model with one corner aligned properly against the door frame. You then select the component and use the scale tool grabbing the handle opposite the corner of the door that is properly aligned, drag this untill it infers a fit with the dopposite corner of the door frame.

p.s. 1000 posts! dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing ๐Ÿ˜›

Sometimes the compnent will auto snap to the wall. If it doesnt do this, just use the rotate tool to spin it upright, and then in to the correct orientation, if you need to.

              Hi folks.

With scaling, everything in the component will be scaled. If the change in frame size bother you, you can use the Move Tool.

For example, if you want to increase the heigth and the width of a window but keep the framing the same size as the original, go in component edit mode, select the top frame and move it up. After that, select the right frame and move it right. The other lines attached to the selection, will stretch automatically. Of course, you may select the bottom frame and move it down or the left frame and move it left.

If the component is made of subcomponents, you may have to dig deeper into these to edit them one by one.

              Just ideas.
