Icon development in Sketchup?

Hi
I am trying to design some cool & sporty icons. I know Photoshop is there to help but is wondering if Sketchup can help me in doing that.
And how will I extract those icons from .SKP files to use in Windows or Web applications?
This tool is very user friendly..simply cool!

SketchUp can be used to create icons if that's what you want.
Just create your desired model, set your camera position and go to
File/Export/2d Graphic - Here you have a dropdown box with a list of various filetypes to choose from. -
