on the occasion of my 1000th post i would like to mention how important it has been to me to be a part of this community.
i have not only learned a lot about many things here but i can safely say that i have made a lot of good new friends at SCF.
thanks to all for your kindness, generosity and support along these past 11 months.

BTW, I notice you are showing OS 10.4, have you moved to
Leopard yet? I find Time Machine really great, its got
me out of a few tight spots -

i must confess i am still afraid of moving to Leopard. i keep finding references to incompatibilities with apps i use and hesitate about moving along. on the other hand, version 10.5.2 seems to have fixed several problems.
could you tell me how is SU and other apps behaving under Leopard in your macbook?

Its going quite well. As I said the Time Machine feature is
fantastic, it recently saved by bacon!I think you should try it out, if only on a different drive
if this can be managed ..... I'm sure you don't go backMike
PS: Oh! BTW, Afloat for Leopard is now available. I find this
little utility very handy for keeping things organised on screen.
