Thats the problem with it, the sizes are huge. I exported a vine for my Sponza scene that was 67MB. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I tried reducing it with Deep Exploration and was able to get it down to 21MB, but still much too big.

If you want to use ivy generator geometry in Sketchup you better wish you were dead , too many polygons for Skup to handle .

It would be insane to use it in SU. People usually use it in external renerers only.

i tried to import obj that was exported from ivy generator to KERKY , but the size were not the same as rest of my model...!!! and the z ax was 90degree !!!not zero... so i dont know how to do a tight import to kerky?

I'm not at my kerky at the moment but I think obj files ganerally have an issue with the y and z axes changed (therefore - as far as I remember - there is even an option in the exporter in SU).
What you could do in Kerky is to import the file into an empty Kerky model, adjust the ivy (rotate it) and save that way. Then merge it into your real model.

Kind of a hassle for sure (like everything with modeling and rendering when one wants to come to perfection ๐Ÿ˜„ )

There is a solution, maybe not ideal but it works pretty well.

generate your Ivy and export it as an .obj, now open it in Max, Vue, KT, LW etc (any app that handles high poly well, I will use Vue for this example.
Now set up your vine for render and make sure you have no other geometry in scene including ground plane must be absent.
render with sun facing Ivy and not camera.
Now adjust the tones and export as .png with alpha map embedded.
make a billboard in SU and add image to both sides (do not set it to follow camera), or make a copy of curved , angled geometry and apply texture.

Viola! ivy, without killing your rig.

Image below of Ivy .png, .png attached.

I will definitely try it, Majid but alas no sooner than the week-end. Both Pete's and your solution seems to be a cool idea.
