There are NO dates for SU 7.

Okay then I'm all in for the new name Catch-UP and want to join in on the poll.
"Mein Kampf" and the "xxxx" are both full of s...
-
So What did I say about fun and R...? wasn't I right? ohhh J.....
Well anyone who wants to wipe this whole thread out be welcome. Why would I care? Just send me a note when SU finally gets announced, thanks.

Bruell,
A discussion board is here for you guys to discuss things so I won't delete the thread.
I just wanted to remind people that it has gone totally off topic here and there and even turned into some kind of ranting with each other.
This may be appropriate in the Corner Bar but I'd really like to see the SketchUp Discussion Forum free from such content.
-
Maybe just lock the thread so it will eventually fade out into the abyss?
-
You're right Gaieus,
We all here got side tracked and I promise not to talk about anything unrelated from now on.... promise.
Maybe we could use a little bit of something here to discuss.... a hint, give us something, maybe related to the release date of SU7. That would surely put us all back on track, wouldn't it?
-
remove the thread. after all there arent any answers here relating to the question posted. saves people going through all pages in the glimmer of hope that they might actually get one..hahaha.
PS just posted a new Google group check it out at http://groups.google.com/group/sketchup-pro-jobs

Bruell,
This is how it goes (generally speaking, not particularly about SU 7).
- The GSU Team develops the new product - adds feature that are "mature" enough to launch, sorts out bugs that are there etc.
- Whenthey think it is ready for beta testing, the tests start but no-one (even the GSU Team) knows how long they are going to go on because it all depends on the succes/speed of sorting out the issues.
- Even whenthe developers (GSU Team) already has some clue when the launch is due, they won't tell anyone.
So there are no hints around I'm afraid.
Idraft,
I will edit the topic title so no-one has to read through it with a vain hope.

This is just a guess, but I am pretty sure Aidan has a new Sketchup book coming out in the next couple of months, and if history repeats than SU7 comes out within a week of its launch.
Publication date pushed back to March 2009. Read in to that what you will ...

They probably read this thread
-
I'm a fan of Sketchup 7 and still waiting for it.
-
where is SU7? anybody knows anything about it?
-
Have you read through these 11 pages, Paolo?
-
That made me chuckle. It seems the questioning will never end.

So then, tell me/us again, why google has to keep it so secret?
-
We dont know.
-
What Remus says.
-
I got tired of waiting and turned to Rhino3D and god it's so much better than Sketchup. But still when SU7 comes out I'll get it, because it works way faster for simple stuff.
-
Fair play. If you like rhino you might also like MoI, its kind of like a blend of SU and NURBS: http://moi3d.com/
p.s. sorry for sounding a bit like a salesman, it really is worth a try though.

Wow! wondering if Google has broken their promise of Sketchup 7?... I was hoping and looking forward in Sketchup 7... Hopefully, I don't have to cancel my google account as a result of that..
-
Which promise is that?
