OK, well I guess that idea didn't work.
The red thingie is a SketchUp 3D figure called "Man Waving." The concept (obviously the failed concept) is that the figure represents one of our illustrious moderators waving the 'all clear' indicating that posting can resume now that the board breaking bug has been found.
Anyway, a sincere thanks for keeping us up and running!

Man, yesterday when it happened, I just didn't know what to do. Obviously Coen couldn't handle it either so the backup had to be restored.
Anyway, thanks, Fred, it really kind of you (although I have never seen so many red - i.e. unread - posts on the index page)
