If you copy and paste a group/component in, any dimensions change from mm to inches, and are also wrong. Not sure if this happens with other units, didnt have time to check.

And I don't have LO to check on this machine I'm sitting at now but if it really goes this way, it's a nice find, Remus!

if by nice you mean really annoying, then yes, i suppose it is.

Yes, I know it is annoying but it's a "nice catch".
Sorry but I got home very late last night and could not experiment with this yet.

The problems is happening because the units info is in the "model" and only the entities are copied, not the model info, so LO doesn't have any idea what the correct units should be. The bug has been logged.

[edit] okay so i just realized which forum this was posted in (i use view new posts instead of browsing individual forums)... at least i now realize what 'LO' stands for in the above posts.. please ignore the following 😄

maybe i'm not understanding your problem correctly but i just tried -->

--open two windows - one set to decimal/mm and the other to architectural/inches..

--in the decimal window, draw a circle measuring 20,000mm diameter and group it..

--copy that group and paste it into the architectural window..

                --measure the diameter which is ~65' - 7 3/8"

                that's a correct conversion...

is this not what you're trying to do?
