Hello. I'm new here and I decided to show you some of my works. First of all this project is still in progress, so this one is not completed. I've worked on this subway line now for two weeks and this is what I've made. 5.6 kilometres of subway network (2.5 km on ground). There are five lines. The orange one is almost ready (four stations not built yet). Stations need some finishing touches and the tracks need to be installed in to the tunnels and ground. I've made also some simple buildings near the Cape station. Now to the pics.

Here you can see parts of the network map. Notice the northern cape with buildings.

      It's this one.

The cape with some major company headquarters and residential high-rises. Notice the start of the tunnel.

      The tunnel.

The main line passes the station at the lower level. The new line starts from the upper level.

Two-level station from inside. Upper line goes to south and the lower one heads to north.

      Another station..

      Station in progress.

Grand Station. Commuter and long distance train station will be right above this station.

Same station from inside. The Red Line overpasses this lower level.

Hope you like these pics. If you have any ideas of this project. Just PM me.

Hello and welcome - I can only say that it's impressing. It must be hard to handle SU with such a huge model I suppose.

Thank you. You know it's really hard to handle this model. Particurally it's hard when the view just hops to other side of the map while zooming.

              hi chezet,

very interesting work. if you do not mind my being curious, is it a professional job or a hobby of yours? will you do the whole thing?

this should be very useful to show the public the subway system as a whole.

please keep posting as you progress with it.

Well first of all I'm just a ordinary SU modeler who likes model almost everything. I don't know about the buildings but the subway network will be entirely modelled. I've made some drafts of the network and the full length will be like about 30km. My computer needs some updating so I could make it even massive with the buildings. So gotta buy a new PC. πŸ˜„

                    Hi
I'm building a one station witch is much more detailed than those of mine. Like with tracks, trains and so on. I'd like to know a good tutorial of rendering images. That's still kind of new to me so I'd like to get it started. I am still continuing this project as well. Thank you.

kerkythea (free) and podium (paid but not too much) are probably the easiest rendering applications around. i do not know of any good and complete tutorial for any of them. you will have to go to their forums to get more information.
