SketchUp Forum - Gone (Jul 07, 2007 )

Joining the group. It doesn't make any difference whether I use my existing Google account for the free forum to apply for the Pro one, or whether I use my existing Pro details to try to log in. I can log in ok, but it still says I'm pending and can't post.
It doesn't look terribly inviting anyway. I'm close to just giving up.

Alan, I had to cancel my subscription, and then re-up. That worked immediately.

I just cannot join.

I have a Google account with the same screen name and email address I used in the Old Forums. I want to join with that but it still say pending...
The funniest thing is that since all my old posts were transferred, I can find them, click on my profile there (next to my name in the thread) and see my existing Google profile with all the posts listed either in the (old) Pro forums or the Free SU GG Forums. So it's obviously me but I still cannot join.

How can I cancel my subscription if I haven't even subscribed at all (not joined)?

I don't want to cancel my Google account if that's what you mean - it would mena that I have to "re-do" all subscriptions for all those different services I already use.

-first cancel everything-
start from 0

input the same and it worked

And then lose all posts and everything that was there before.
And start my calendar settings and entries from the beginning, my warehouse models, my Google sitemaps, my personalised search settings and everything.

No way, Juan. They should be able to fix this.

well I dont know about that
but maybe since you enter the same e-mail and password everything should remain the same.
it is a risk yes.

Just go to Edit My Membership, click the Cancel button on the bottom right, and rejoin. Another in the series of clumsy glitches in this never ending transition process, I'm afraid.

Yes, Gully, I've done that. Also saw your post there and replied. Thanks for the help (here I just did not know what they mean by cancelling: my Google account or the membership there - that's why I hesitated).

Now I'm a member there, too.

Gai, if you click on the "pending" link, there will be another button to cancel your pending membership request. Click on that, then, go back and join. You won't lose anything.

Well, if you win a toaster, we can trade. I have a mini grill, but it works off a mini propane bottle. Never used!

Strange, I had a account with the "old" SketchUp forum, then signed up on the GG, then went to the latest link, had to subscribe to SketchUp Pro group again, was logged in instantly.

Yes Juju, but I already had a Google account when tried first.
Anyway, there is the solution.
Still you cannot edit your post there.
