Hello. My name is Joao and im from Portugal.
Ive been using sketchup for about an year without problems, and now, after several months without using it, i have to make a project again. The problem is wen i click on file and then save or import, sketchup quits unexpectedly. I tryed reinstalling several times and i cant solve the problem.
I have sketchup versions 5 and 6 and im running windows vista.

    Any ideas?

    Thx for the help!

      Hi Joao -

Version 5 does not support Vista, and only the updated version of SketchUp 6 does. What version of SketchUp 6 are you running?

Hello again and thx for the reply. I found a partial solution for my problem. I was running sketchup 5 and 6 in compatibly mode for win98 ( sketchup 5 worked on my vista in the past) and everything was ok. I made some projects on them.
Now, both of them, wen i click save as or import, the program just quits.

Sollution: If i run them on compatibly mode for winxp instead of win 98, if i start the program, with a blank page, the program crashes in the begining ( it did the same in the past too, so i had to run it on campatibly mode for win98). But if instead of starting it that way, i start it by opening a project i did in the past, it doesnt crash at the begining and i can click save or import without the program quiting.
I think its a wierd windows conflict or something.
        Anyway,thx for reply.

        Cheers

          Hi Joao,

Yes, this is usually the "workaround" for this Vista glitch.
