Maybe you were being rhetorical, but unfortunately it's not real- I saw the original footage a few years ago and it was just of the penguin falling through the ice. The "helpful" flipper was Photoshopped.

You're going to think this is funny, but I used to go to a local playground that had one of these springy rides to train on for riding/racing. Whoever built the playground must have been a big kid him/herself because, out of the 5 springy rides, one had a super stiff spring and larger horse. It was as if they made one for the adults to ride on! So I used to go there and go side to side, doing the exact same stance as the guy in your picture, to develop strength in my "outside" leg for hanging off my bike! I crashed that springy horse about 12 times too! It would just flick me off and I'd "high-side" or flip through the air and land up-side down in the sand. All the little kids thought that was the funniest damn thing they'd ever seen, so I'd keep doing it! I figured it was good crash training too!
