Actually, it's not fake...the camera presumably autofocused when the squirrel popped up to investigate the whirring noise. Just Google squirrel banff.

As I know, photo cameras don't focus prior shooting when timer is active, instead the the person who place camera in position and trigger the timer makes the focus when pushing the button. So, that squirrel was there before the timer was started, or after the photo was taken (via Photoshop) πŸ’š

Or if it's like you say,it may even have been a remote control (and this case partly on purpose)

It could simply be the result of a common self-timer fault: standing/crouching right in front of the camera while pressing the shutter button to activate the self-timer, which of course results in the camera autofocusing on the "close" you rather than the "far" you once you've run back to your pose position. Besides, the fur looks a little too well masked to be Photoshopped.

            From this article: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/edmonton/story/2009/08/13/squirrel-banff-photo-brandts-geographic.html

            @unknownuser said:

"We had our camera set up on some rocks and were getting ready to take the picture when this curious little ground squirrel appeared, became intrigued with the sound of the focusing camera and popped right into our shot!" she wrote.

The ground squirrel became the focus of the picture as the couple faded into the background.

Jackson Brandts took a few more shots using a remote-control shutter.

LOL, is that someone's ashes in that Sparc unit?

Every time I see an old computer I think: Remember when that was the most bad**s hardware you could possibly own? It had a whopping 256kb of RAM expandable to 512 and a 3.5" floppy - and a 15" COLOR MONITOR!

Then I laugh at how much these things cost way back when:

                http://techyshit.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/image15.png

Radio Shack TRS – 80 Model II (1979)
                Price : $3,450 (32K RAM)
                $3,899 (64 K Ram)

Would you believe that the same computer price ($3899) adjusted for 1979-2009 CPI would be equivalent to you spending over $7,500.00 for that TRS-80 II today?

Makes me want to go watch that old movie "War Games" with Matthew Broderick again just to see him wreak havoc with that old computer and dial-up modem where you had to put the phone in the modem cradle.

I love that you had to pay only $495 extra for the installation kit!

And to think that you could fit the entire contents of that HDD on a single rewriteable CD.....

                  49 times over. πŸ˜†

A firm I used to work for in Vegas bought a summagraphics computer system with a desk size digitizing table, separate concrete-lined hard drive (so you couldn't move it accidnetly)a single 14" BW monitor and other accesories that would fill a room. It had a whopping 256 M on the hard drive and perhaps a 1/2 meg of ram.

Price. . ..$120,000. We replaced it in 1990 with a 386 desktop that cost about $3000, and ended up dropping the $120K system off a cliff in the desert. (not really--but it ended up becoming the most expensive door stop in history)

If I make it look easy...It is probably easy

That sign would've made more sense if they'd bothered with some punctuation or upper and lower case. At first glance I thought it said:
