Scanning Scale?

James, I think first of all you'd need to scan it as hi-res as you can and then (not knowing the capabilities of your scanner) I'd suggest PS.
Can you not get the digital graphic from the firm (?) that created your card? -
I'm neither a scanning guru nor an expert in PS-ing so see Alans comments on this here. It seems that there's no use of scanning a printed material with higher resolution than 300 dpi (which was probably the resolution when printed).
If it gets dotty or specked you can smooth it in PS I believe. Just try it and see if you're satisfied with it. -

If it is a simple design, with simple colours, I would recommend drawing over the scanned image in something like illustrator, or Photoshops elusive vector capabilities. That way, you can scale the image to whatever size you like, whenever you want!

One trick I use since I use SU more than Illustrator is to rough out artwork in SU and then export into Illustrator and finish it there. Will only be helpful if your logo is mainly line work and not photographic.
