José Carreras, Aug 29th 2007

Today José Carreras was awarded honorary doctorate at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music (where I also occasionally teach) of my university (see news report here) and he will give a concert tomorrow here, as well.
I was translating his press conference afterwards (for some weird reason it was held in English). I thought I'd ask for a couple of autographs and then sell them on eBay.

What an amazing voice he has. I remember the 'Three tenons' singing before the football world cup a few years back, plus their concerts.
He does loads for work for good causes as well. Good on him.

Ah yeah, he has a foundation for people fuffering from leukemia, for instance.
On the "Three tenors" he said they will never substitute Pavarotti, who has retired being seriously ill now, with another tenor so most probably they won't have the "Three tenors" set up again
