Yeah, pretty sad. And ridiculous and stupid.
Some people (and/or governments) simply seem to hate everything they don't understand. Most probably because they have some inferiority complexes...

LOL Did you notice that last woman getting a hug?
She made sure her handbag was safe!

Maybe he wasn't arrested, just a trip to do some
          'private' hugging

              Spain maybe ?

In 1975,Franco,who held a totalitarian control in our country, died. And we succesfully passed to freedom without violence.
Mind you,it was necesary he died to achieve it and that we had have a civil-war in 1936 that helped to restrain the violence against ourselves again.
But quoting in an strict sense your question,
              we did it.
              😄

              ,))),

Fantastic... it seems only common sense that all other countries would do similar things, demand freedom... but alas perhaps they do not want it.

Hungary also, once in 1848 and second time in 1989/90 when the one and only "Communist" party opened free elections (actually all Eastern Europe followed with more or less violence 😄)

That's filmed in Paris, France, not the states. You can see the Eiffel Tower in the background. Incidentally, cool soundtrack.
