In 1975,Franco,who held a totalitarian control in our country, died. And we succesfully passed to freedom without violence.
Mind you,it was necesary he died to achieve it and that we had have a civil-war in 1936 that helped to restrain the violence against ourselves again.
But quoting in an strict sense your question,
we did it.

Hungary also, once in 1848 and second time in 1989/90 when the one and only "Communist" party opened free elections (actually all Eastern Europe followed with more or less violence )
