      I wondered why a few old topics were rising to the top again. Then I looked at the posting dates. The server transfer seems to have re-dated many old posts to yesterday's date. For instance, I posted The Meaning of Liff about a year ago, not on Sunday...same with some of Susan's posts like the laptop problem. It might be an idea if people only responded to brand new posts for a while.

        the solution for that would be for the old threads to inform their original date when transfered but there are so many steps in the transfer procedure already that people almost never do that.

        i know it is a little confusing to find your old topics coming afloat but this should end soon.

          Alan, that's all because those topics have just recently been transferred from the old board. As was announced by Coen, we can only transfer the content and cannot transfer the date & time.

          Edson once proposed a solution to add a report to each topic about when it was originally posted (to avoid confusion) but then again, only mods can see the reports.

          Maybe we could put the date into the "edit line" (see the example right in this post)
