Help with Soap Skin Bubble
-
Okay, the toolbar appears, it seems to be installed correctly. Then I created a wireframe and click a button. It keeps saying "Timelimit finished." Help please? I have the free version of SU.
-
Oh well, time to look for a next release!
The timer limit reminder has always popped up and yes, I remember it was January something 2008. Mine is finisghed, too.
-
I remember it had an end time use. quite long.
It must have finished.
But you can buy it.(nevermind,.),
-
I have downloaded the latest version (I used to have an earlier one I think) but it gives the same message. There's no info about any way to get it (let it continue to be a "free eval" version or commercial).
So I contacted the author (emailed him to the email address he provided on his website) and hope to get some information.
Also I'm moving this thread to the SU forum.

Nice from you Gaieus,
thanks. -
I expect their will be a lot of sad people if this is not renewed - it is a fantastic tool!
-
On his website: Just Pro Version
-
But where, Burkhard - I don't seem to find any hints (or actually updates) there.

(No news yet)

On the site it says very clear...

is an Plugin for Google Sketchup Pro 5.
This Plugin does not work in the free version of SketchupAnd further...

Releas 1.0 works until end of 2008 !
But this statement isn't true...

Unfortunately the timelimit is still there...
Hope to hear some updates on this...

Haven't received any answer yet (maybe it's the week-end but also I can imagine he is receiving hundreds of emails).
I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable price - it's just this "no info" uncertainty that bothers... -
i think i rem a fellow named Pepe from the old board who used to update us regarding the SSB? or is he the author himself???

-
...Let's wait...

Hey all,
Don't know what i am doing with the download but I have successfully installed SoapSkin on my desktop [PC] and have done the same thing on my notebook but the toolset can not be found...
Any suggestions?Cheers in advance,
-
You have to activate it at Window > Preferences > Extensions than maybe even also tick at View > Toolbars > Soap Bubble.
-
Thanks Gaieus, Have tried that. It worked fine on my Notebook but there is no 'View>Toolbars>Soap bubble' option available.....I have checked to see if i have it in the Tools folder under SU6.0 also and that is exactly as per my PC.... strange.
-
How much would you be willing to pay for soapskinbubble? It appears its not working. I thought it was a donation type situation. Something like $15-$20 dollars maybe would be fair I think considering google sketch up is free also considering top prices on smustard.
It is a nice program in some situations. I the architecture windowizer get's used more. -
Yeah, about that price would sound reasonable for me, too.
-
Here is a work around... just set the date on your computer back a year!

thanks!
